Charisse Hay

Alongside her doctoral research, Charisse is also undertaking a micro-credential in coercive control through the University of Western Australia. Her lived experience has informed national policy and advocacy work, including invitations to speak at Parliament House in Canberra—most notably for the 2023 Family Law Amendments and the Financial Abuse Inquiry (Child Support) alongside fellow advocates, Rosie Batty and Jess Hill. Her contributions to the field have been featured in peer-reviewed journals and national media platforms including ABC TV, ABC Radio, and The Project.
