Meet Dr Laura Bahri – Clinical Psychologist (Telehealth)

Dr Laura Bahri is a Clinical Psychologist with over 17 years of experience, currently providing Telehealth services from her home in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. She is passionate about offering warm, flexible, and collaborative care to adults seeking support with a range of mental health challenges.

Laura has extensive experience working with dual-diagnosis presentations, particularly complex trauma and PTSD, having spent 11 years at Next Step Drug and Alcohol Service. In her senior role, she also provided leadership, training, and consultancy within the public sector to improve outcomes for clients experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.

With lived experience in regional life and professional experience supporting clients in the resources sector, Laura understands the challenges and rewards of working and living remotely. She has particular expertise in working with individuals affected by FIFO/DIDO life, fatigue, and work-related stress.

Laura adopts a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and attachment-focused approach. She believes in the importance of creating a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship that helps restore a sense of safety and empowerment.

She tailors therapy to each individual and draws on a wide range of evidence-based therapies, including:
