Vivid Psychology is pleased to offer clinical psychology services to the Indian Ocean Territories. Karla Cloke is currently working from a newly established therapy space at Temple Court, located within the Armada Accounting Office, providing accessible, high-quality psychological care to the local community.

Having previously lived on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands and now based on Christmas Island, Karla has a strong understanding of the unique mental health needs of remote and regional communities. She is passionate about improving access to high-quality psychological care in these settings and also offers telehealth services through Vivid Psychology, alongside in-person appointments on Christmas Island.

Referral Process

Improving access to care for island communities

If you reside on Christmas Island or Coco’s Island, you may be eligible for subsidies psychology sessions. The Indian Ocean Territories Health Services (IOTHS) has its own fundings arrangement which is similar to that of the Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). With a valid referral from your GP, IOTHS provides a partial rebate of $145.25 per session for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year.

Karla has limited availability for some reduced fee appointments for clients located on island, or on Cocos (Keeling) Island. With a valid referral from your GP, appointments will only occur a $48 out-of-pocket cost to clients. Please note there is limited availability for reduced fee appointments. Location

Karla is located at Temple Court, Inside the Armada Accounting Office (3/26 Gaze Road, Flying Fish Cove, Christmas Island). Parking is available anywhere on Gaze Road.
