Katie Lightfoot

Katie holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Western Australia (2009).

Katie has broad experience across both community and private mental health settings. She brings a warm, empathic presence to her work, and believes that a touch of humour goes a long way in the therapeutic process.

Katie works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand themselves and find practical solutions to life’s challenges. She places particular value on exploring how past experiences shape present-day patterns, supporting clients in building self-awareness and achieving meaningful personal growth.

Her practice is grounded in attachment theory, while drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Schema Therapy
  • Circle of Security
